Back in Black: La Cumbre’s Malpais Stout now available in cans
This past week La Cumbre Brewing Company (lacumbrebrewing.com) released their award-winning Malpais Stout in a bold 16oz. can. The Malpais took Silver Medals at both the 2011 Great American Beer Festival and the 2012 World Beer Cup in the Foreign-Style Stout category.
Malpais Stout, named after El Malpais National Monument in New Mexico, is described by La Cumbre as a ‘meal in a glass’. Featuring 7 different kinds of malts, this creamy stout explodes with roasted intensity.
While New Mexicans have been able to enjoy Malpais on tap for years, the potential availability to a wider audience of craft beer drinkers is a boon for both consumer and La Cumbre alike.
