AleSmith Jamaica Blue Mountain Speedway Stout Release Details
AleSmith Brewing Company will be kicking off our 2014 Reserve Series with a brand new addition to the Speedway Stout family, Jamaica Blue Mountain Speedway, as well as a release of 2014 Barrel Aged Wee Heavy.
JAMAICA BLUE MOUNTAIN SPEEDWAY STOUT
Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee beans are grown in the fertile soil of some of the highest Caribbean peaks, making it one of the most prized gourmet coffees in the world. This rare coffee uses lightly roasted Arabica beans to create subtle acidity and a well-balanced chocolaty finish. With the help of local roaster, Mostra Coffee, these 100% Blue Mountain beans were sourced from the renowned Mavis Bank Coffee Factory in Jamaica. Carefully roasted and cold-brewed, this coffee is the perfect complement to our award-winning Imperial Stout.
BARREL AGED WEE HEAVY
Rated #1 Scotch Style Ale in the World on RateBeer, and the sixth most popular Scotch Style Ale in the World according to Beer Advocate, AleSmith’s Barrel Aged Wee Heavy is the perfect beer to complement our new Speedway varietal release. Aged in premium bourbon barrels for at least one year, this beer’s malty flavor profile has layers of complexity and richness that you will not want to miss out on.
Starting Monday, March 3rd at 11:00am (PST), you will be able to purchase up to four (4) bottles of Jamaica Blue Mountain Speedway and up to six (6) bottles of Barrel Aged Wee Heavy. Please note, your name will be registered once you place your order (you will need to use your name for each bottle). We want to make this as fair as possible. Any duplicate sales to the same name will be voided!
Please, USE ONLY YOUR NAME TO PURCHASE THE BOTTLES. YOUR PURCHASE IS JUST FOR YOUR BOTTLES. YOU CANNOT PURCHASE BOTTLES UNDER SOMEONE ELSE’S NAME OR FOR SOMEONE ELSE. IF YOU BUY THEM, YOU MUST PICK THEM UP.

Jamaica Blue Mountain Speedway Stout/Barrel Aged Wee Heavy Release Party
Join us at AleSmith Brewing Company on Saturday, March 8th for the Jamaica Blue Mountain/Barrel Aged Wee Heavy release party. The tasting room will be open from 11:00am-9:00pm and this will be your first day to pick up your previously purchased bottles of Jamaica Blue Mountain Speedway Stout & Barrel Aged Wee Heavy (we will not have any bottles of either specialty release available for sale in the tasting room).
We will have Jamaica Blue Mountain Speedway Stout, Jamaica Blue Mountain Robust Porter, Barrel Aged Wee Heavy, Barrel Aged Speedway and a variety of other cask, draft and nitro offerings on tap for the day! Plus, we’ve done an extremely small run of Jamaica Blue Mountain t-shirts (men’s & women’s) that we’ll have for sale during the event (check out the shirt here).
The tasting room will be open to the public and you don’t need to have purchased these specialty bottles to attend the party or visit the tasting room. We kindly request that you do not bring large groups to the brewery on this day as they may be turned away due to crowd limitations. We will also have Mastiff Sausage Company on site to pair your beers with their hand crafted specialty sausages!
Don’t worry if you can’t make the party and you want to purchase bottles, your bottles will be available for pick up until May 11th (during posted retail hours). Also, you not need to have purchased these specialty bottles to partake in the fun of the release party. We hope to see you at the brewery on Saturday, March 8th to celebrate these two special releases.
