Short’s Brew Juicy Tree Coming In Dec

Short’s will have one more specialty offering that will be hitting shelves soon…Dec soon.

It’s called Juicy Tree–and from what I recall, it’s damn good.

An American IPA brewed with blue spruce tips, cranberries, and juniper berries, Juicy Tree was first brewed in February of 2012. Originally intended to be a Christmas time brew, time slipped us by and we weren’t able to get it into production until a few months after. Still, it was seasonally appropriate and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. This year, we’ve taken Juicy Tree to the next level and are releasing it in six packs throughout Michigan.

Juicy Tree~ An experimental India Pale Ale made with blue spruce tips, juniper berries, and cranberries. Big aromatics of piney evergreen and sweet berries tingle the senses. After some slightly tart and tangy flavors up front, a harmonious balance between pleasant fruit sweetness and bitter pine is reached. A sizable malt bill, ample hop additions, and the floral fruity qualities of American Ale yeast all contribute to symmetry of this beer. The finish is laced with a resiny stickiness that flows naturally into a lasting bitterness.
