Kern River Brewing Co – CITRA Back in November

Eric from Kern Brewing let us know:

“This release won’t be like previous ones. I really did not enjoy telling 100+ people that they could not get bottles. We will either go brown paper tickets or some sort of lottery (no charge for entering). Details still have to be worked out, but once they are we will let people know.”

Over the years Kern River Brewing Co’s – CITRA DIPA has become quite the talk of the craft beer community. Only a few are lucky enough to obtain one of the few hundred bottles they release each batch. While the wait has gotten long over the years, it is definitely worth it!

The perfect thick sticky lacing as it pours into the glass. The smell of pineapple, mango, grapefruit, and tangerine. Amazing tropical and citrus flavors pour out into your mouth. One of our favorite DIPA’s! CITRA is a great beer.

KRBC usually releases CITRA twice a year. Once in February and once in August. Well August is half over and I began to wonder, when are they going to release CITRA? By now we would have seen a tweet from Kyle, “Brewing CITRA today!” and we all know….4 more weeks!

So far now tweets, no facebook posts. Well we hit KRBC up to see what the deal was. Kyle responded via Twitter, “November….”
